Meet the judges

We will be working with a panel of financial markets experts to help select those individuals demonstrating outstanding talent, aptitude and initiative in their roles, which help single them out as the ones to watch.

Andrew Pullman

Head of Learning, Here Is The City

Rising Stars is a great opportunity for some of the unsung heroes who keep the show on the road to be recognised. All too often the limelight falls on the deal doers, but it is often those behind the scenes who ensure that deals go through.

I will be looking for people that are committed to doing a good job and, given the current environment of uncertainty, are flexible in their approach. As an employer in the City you need people who are prepared to ride the rollercoaster of choppy markets with you – we will be looking for someone who can demonstrate that type of quality.

As we saw last year, the winner of this award could see their career catapulted upwards so there is every incentive to enter the awards.

Guy Emmerson

Associate Director, Badenoch & Clark

I am really looking forward to viewing the talent out there and comparing the contenders. I am looking for individuals who have gone the extra mile, showing dedication and intelligence in the work they do. Their manager’s view is key in demonstrating their achievements and potential to be realised in the future.

In order to win the competition I am looking for a ‘talent’ that has done something different, something exceptional that cannot be matched by other nominees.

Steve Sedgwick

Anchor, CNBC

In looking at the nominations, I am less interested in stellar CVs than in demonstrations of commitment and the ability to operate effectively in tough situations. Those people who’ve done well in the past are the ones who’ve been praised by their colleagues and bosses for reacting well in times of crisis or simply when things have been difficult.

I’m looking for the doers: the people who don’t just shine when everything’s rosy, but are prepared to pull their fingers out and lead whatever the situation.
