Head of Learning, Here Is The City
Andrew is a human resources specialist and will soon be launching the “Here Is The City Learning” website. Andrew founded “People Risk Solutions” in 2006 – an HR consultancy focusing on delivering pragmatic HR support to organisations. Andrew works with companies in all sectors, specialising in financial services.
He regularly writes for EFinancial Careers and Here Is The City, as well as providing expert commentary on radio and TV. He also speaks at conferences and is in the process of publishing a series of “How to … ” books on careers in the City.
Andrew has over 22 years experience working in financial services in the City of London following a seven year career as an army officer with the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Starting in fixed income sales with JP Morgan in 1986, he transitioned into training and development and subsequently became an HR director for various firms. His military career instilled in him a lifelong interest in leadership development and staff motivation which has been of great value in his subsequent career in HR.
Andrew is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the Institute of Directors.
